The Making Of A Man

As a child I was taught to get an education, find a good job, and live a good life. But there is so much more to it than that. It used to be about hard work. Not so much anymore. People want the fast cash, quick action. They aren’t willing to fight hard. They want it to come as easy as breathing. It doesn’t happen like that.

You still have to earn your bones. You have to put in the work and get your name out there. Too many people think they can be famous by being famous. Even a Khardashian isn’t famous without their famous father. ‘

But how do you become a Thoreau, or an Emerson? You must have something to say. You must be willing to say it. You must be willing to live deliberately. With so many values sloshing like water in a bucket it is often difficult to nail anything down. It’s the fixed points in Time that stand the test.

Work smart and diligently. Hard work comes in many forms. We face our demons in various ways. The fact remains, we must face our demons. We must do the work, hard or otherwise. We get our name out, professionally, and with dignity. Only by standing above the rest will we come into our own.

Don’t be discouraged. You can make it. You must be willing to make things happen on your own. Few, if anyone, will do it for you. The purpose of these words are to give comfort. Most of all they are a call to action. Be your best and the world will beat a path to your door. It is about character and fortitude. If you have these you will succeed.
